A useful fit for

A household setup with suitable 120 V power and a tap able to supply at least 2 GPM.

The main tradeoff

The manual gives 1400 PSI rated pressure but labels 1.3 GPM as maximum flow; these are not a confirmed working pair.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Does the supplied hose actually wind onto a reel?

Yes. The original manual describes the reel and its transfer hose, and lists 23 feet of high-pressure outlet hose.

Can I require included soap application?

Yes. The package has a one-liter tank. Follow the manual’s fan-setting instruction for detergent.

Does 1400 PSI at 1.3 GPM describe a verified working pair?

No. Pressure is rated, but flow is explicitly maximum. A combined minimum working-pressure-and-flow requirement cannot use those as one pair.

A hose reel and soap tank without a box of loose tips

The WEN PW22 is worth comparing if you want an electric washer with a real hose reel and an included detergent tank. Its lance uses an adjustable fan-to-stream nozzle rather than a set of separate quick-connect tips. That keeps the basic spray choice on the wand, while the machine stores the outlet hose on its reel.

This review follows the PW22 manual identified as 20190327. The correct model matters: a different WEN pressure washer does not automatically share this hose length, inlet requirement or nozzle arrangement. A current maker listing can identify the product without proving that a particular seller has the reviewed package available.

Rated pressure is not the same as maximum flow

The manual identifies 1400 PSI rated pressure, 2100 PSI maximum pressure and 1.3 GPM maximum flow. It does not identify 1.3 GPM as rated flow at 1400 PSI. These distinctions should survive a product comparison rather than being compressed into a single impressive-looking pair.

If you require a minimum documented working pressure, the 1400 PSI figure is available. If you also require a specific working flow, that second value has not been established by this manual. The honest response is to compare another documented configuration, not to convert maximum flow into a working guarantee. For an initial household choice, the water route and supplied equipment may matter more than adding a numerical minimum.

The 23-foot hose has a real storage system

The technical page lists 23 feet of high-pressure hose and 35 feet of power cord. Assembly includes a transfer hose between the pump outlet and reel arrangement. This is a genuine reel, rather than a hanging hook described with a more convenient name.

Plan its reach around the object you will clean. The electrical cord, outlet hose and garden-water hose perform different jobs and should not be added together as one working radius. Keep the machine on a stable surface and arrange the hoses so that they do not pull against connections or create a trip route.

An adjustable pattern needs careful interpretation

The manual describes rotating the nozzle between a full fan and a direct stream. Begin with the broad setting and test a hidden area before increasing the concentration. The underlying material and finish still determine what it can tolerate.

The phrase “variable flow” in a listing should not become an invented pump-pressure regulator. This reviewed manual explains spray width; it does not give an independent user-selectable working-pressure control. A narrow stream can be more damaging, but that does not establish a separately rated higher-pressure mode.

The one-liter soap tank is included

The package includes the detergent tank and bracket, and the instructions give a one-liter capacity. Use a detergent designed for pressure washers and follow its preparation directions. WEN specifically requires the fan setting when using detergent. Do not transfer a different brand’s black-tip procedure onto this adjustable-nozzle design.

Empty and flush the system afterward so that residue does not obstruct the next use. The tank is convenient for someone who wants basic soap application on the machine. It does not imply that a turbo nozzle, surface cleaner or separate foam cannon is also supplied; those are not listed in this reviewed package.

Check supply capacity before starting

The original electrical specification is 120 V, 60 Hz and 1600 W, with a GFCI connection. Water must be clean and cold. WEN asks for at least a 5/8-inch garden hose and at least 2 GPM supply, limits inlet temperature to 104°F and limits inlet pressure to 101 PSI. The connection instructions also require unrestricted inlet-hose length between faucet and washer.

Those are feed requirements, not a claim that the washer draws from a bucket. Flush debris from the garden hose and purge air from the washer before operation. Keep electrical connections dry, release pressure after shutdown and store the machine indoors where the pump cannot freeze.

Choose the PW22 when its reel, included tank and adjustable-pattern lance fit the routine. Choose a different documented setup for container-fed cleaning, an included broad-area attachment or a confirmed working-flow threshold.
