Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Does this older electric model combine a reel with detergent application?
Yes. The SPX3001-RM instructions show a reel and removable 1.2-liter soap tank; soap uses its own black nozzle.
Explore this need in the finder →Does the supplied hose give me thirty feet from cart to gun?
No. The documented outlet hose is 20 feet. The 35-foot power cord is not extra outlet-hose reach.
Explore this need in the finder →Can I compare its 1.76 GPM maximum with a required working flow?
Not as an established working value. The exact RM table gives rated pressure but no paired rated flow, so a firm working-flow requirement needs another documented configuration.
Explore this need in the finder →The Sun Joe SPX3001-RM is an earlier remanufactured-model reference for a homeowner who wants a reel and a removable detergent tank in one electric washer. The important buying distinction is the actual condition and completeness of the machine being considered. An RM label identifies this remanufactured reference; it does not promise the condition, accessories or support of every second-hand listing.
The convenience is in storage and soap handling
The reviewed original instructions show a high-pressure hose reel, wheels and a removable 1.2-liter detergent tank. That combination suits a home workflow in which you apply an approved cleaner, rinse with a separate tip and put the hose away afterward. The tank can be removed for filling and cleaning rather than treating the entire washer as a chemical container.
The supplied outlet hose is 20 feet. A reel stores that length; it does not make the machine a long-reach washer. Before choosing it for a large vehicle, consider where the cart will stand and whether the hose reaches the far side without pulling against a wheel or dragging the unit. The manual lists 32 pounds as machine weight, so rolling and carrying over a threshold remain different practical tasks.
What the ratings actually tell you
The exact RM specification table gives 1,450 PSI rated pressure and separately lists 2,030 PSI maximum pressure and 1.76 GPM maximum flow. It does not provide a rated-flow figure in that table. Consequently, this review does not treat 1.76 GPM as a flow you are guaranteed to receive at the rated pressure.
This distinction matters when comparing it with a washer that publishes a complete working pair. A matching pump family or another SPX model's table cannot fill the missing number. If your task has a firm minimum for both pressure and flow together, choose a configuration with that compatible condition documented rather than ranking this one by multiplication of maxima.
Five tips provide different stages
The carton list includes 0°, 15°, 25°, 40° and soap tips. Those separate nozzles are useful when you move from one surface to another, but the most concentrated jet is not the appropriate starting point for a car or timber. The original guidance assigns the intermediate fan to siding, paving and wood decks and the wider fan to vehicles and outdoor items, with surface testing and care still required.
The black nozzle is the detergent stage. Fill with a compatible pressure-washer cleaner, apply as directed, then switch to an appropriate rinse tip after making the change safely. The detergent dial adjusts chemical suction. It should not be mistaken for a continuously adjustable rinse-pressure control.
A removable tank is helpful only if you also rinse it and flush the pickup path after use. Thick or incompatible cleaner can obstruct the system. Do not leave cleaner to dry on a painted surface or assume a stronger chemical is acceptable because the machine can draw it into the stream.
A garden-fed, corded setup
The documented North American configuration uses 120 V, 60 Hz and a 14.5 A motor, with a 35-foot GFCI power cord. It needs a suitable electrical supply and clean garden-fed water, with a maximum inlet temperature of 104°F. Keep the electrical connection dry and observe the protection and cord instructions.
The detergent pickup tube draws from its soap tank; that does not establish suction of cleaning water from an unpressurized bucket. The main inlet workflow is a reinforced garden hose with adequate supply. If you want to clean away from a faucet, compare a machine whose actual water setup supports a container.
Choosing an older remanufactured example
The SPX3001-RM makes sense when a working reel, removable soap tank and complete set of compatible parts fit your household needs. Check the exact model, hose condition, connectors, gun lock and electrical protection before use. A product title alone cannot establish what is in an older package.
For fewer movements around a vehicle, prioritize a longer included outlet hose. For a required paired flow rating or documented commercial duty, choose another configuration. Drain and protect the SPX3001-RM from freezing during storage; its reel tidies the hose but does not winterize the pump.
