Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Is this a battery-powered cleaner because it has electric start?
No. Gasoline drives the pump. The supplied battery and charger start the engine; they do not satisfy a ready-to-clean battery-tool requirement.
Explore this need in the finder →Does the gun have pressure settings for cars and decks?
Yes. The original PowerDial table identifies car, wood deck, concrete and soap settings. Appropriate nozzle and surface-specific technique remain necessary.
Explore this need in the finder →Can I work from a bucket with the included PowerBroom?
The manual prohibits siphoning standing water and requires pressurized supply. PowerBroom does not change the inlet requirement or become an enclosed rotary surface cleaner.

The Generac 8895 is a gasoline pressure washer with a rechargeable starter battery. Its appeal is easier engine starting within a conventional outdoor gas-washer routine. It is not a battery-powered cleaner, even though the kit contains a battery and charger.
That distinction should come before any comparison of accessories. You still handle fuel, engine maintenance, hot components and exhaust. Run the engine outdoors only, well away from openings and people; an open garage is not a substitute for safe outdoor placement.
Match the exact regional version
The original 2021 specification identifies G0088950 as the 49-State and Canada version, while G0088951 is the 50-State and Canada version. This review follows the 8895/G0088950 reference. Do not use the existence of a related 50-State model to remove the restriction from this one.
An offered machine should match its model and emissions identification. The reference here describes the documented configuration, not current seller availability or a guarantee that any package labeled 3100 PSI is identical.
PowerDial provides task-related pressure control
The original gun instructions list pressure settings for car, wood deck, concrete and soap. This is a documented control, not just changing the fan angle of a nozzle. It is useful if your cleaning routine switches between materials that need different treatment.
The setting is not a promise that every surface in that category is safe. Choose the appropriate nozzle and technique, test as directed and account for damaged coatings or fragile trim. A dial label cannot assess the condition of your particular deck or vehicle.
The included attachments are different tools
The documented kit includes a SoapBlaster and PowerBroom. PowerBroom spreads cleaning across a wider area; it is not automatically an enclosed, rotating flat-surface cleaner. If the latter is essential, verify that exact attachment separately rather than counting any wide accessory as equivalent.
Soap application also has its own setup. The manual requires the black detergent nozzle for the normal detergent stage and distinguishes rinsing afterward. Do not assume cleaner flows at the maximum-pressure figure through every rinse tip.
The maxima do not form a working pair
The specification labels 3100 PSI as maximum outlet pressure and 2.5 GPM as maximum flow. It does not provide a compatible working pair in the material reviewed here. Those separate maxima should not be multiplied into a cleaning-performance score.
The hose has its own pressure rating, too. That describes an accessory's rating, not a higher output for the washer. For a task with strict working-pressure or flow requirements, choose an explicitly documented compatible operating condition.
A tap is still part of the station
The original owner manual specifically prohibits siphoning standing water. It calls for pressurized inlet supply, more than 3.8 GPM delivery, at least 30 PSI and water below 100°F. A nearby bucket is therefore not the documented way to supply this machine.
The 25-foot working hose connects the pump to the gun; the inlet hose is separate. Plan both routes and the engine's outdoor position. Ten-inch never-flat wheels help move the machine on suitable ground, but its 62-pound unit reference makes lifting a separate consideration.
Allow for the starter battery's routine
The original instructions say the starter battery arrives partly charged and needs a full charge before first use. Use only its specified charger and the documented120V60Hz charging supply.
The supplied 12 V lithium battery uses the specified charger. The original manual gives charging and storage procedures, including keeping the equipment dry and inspecting the battery. No independent starting-cycle or runtime test is implied here.
Choose 8895 when push-button engine starting, PowerDial control and the exact included attachments fit your outdoor work. Choose a different arrangement when you need battery-driven cleaning, container-water draw or an included enclosed surface cleaner. Those are different needs that electric start alone cannot satisfy.
